Rostering Services Administrator

 Position PurposeAs part of the Rostering Services team the Administration Officer – Rostering Services supports the optimisation of staff scheduling function with a strong focus on cost effective staff scheduling and resource planning, while remaining cognisant of staff wellbeing and operational needs.The rostering service team form one of the most important teams in our organisation. At its core, this dynamic and fast-paced team are responsible for pre-scheduling our field team to meet service delivery requirements and also responding to real time rostering needs.Key Accountabilities1.       Supports the development and maintenance of master rosters, to insure field team members meet service delivery requirements by guaranteeing critical roles are covered, absenteeism and sick leave are backfilled and shifts are covered and potential losses minimised due to vacancies.2.       Proactively identifies and resolves resourcing and rostering issues or is able to address the issues under guidance.  Ensuring compliance of safe practices, policies, procedures, industrial instrument3.       Effective communication with Supervisors, Management and staff through phone calls, actioning emails and supporting the shared services ‘Rostering Service Desk’4.       Undertake daily time-in-attendance checks, that aligns to operational activities, and apply relevant allowance applications.5.       Working closely with the People & Culture team to process fortnightly payroll process including completion of daily time in attendance checks, addition of relevant allowances and checking of all timesheets to confirm accuracy against EBA, OT approvals etc.6.       Maintain personnel records, ensuring internal systems are accurate and current including managing staff alerts, contract changes, non-current qualifications/registrations and training records.7.       Effectively coordinate new-staff induction timetables and observer shift scheduling.Skills, knowledge and competenciesExperience in managing staff timesheets, time-in-attendance records and/or payroll process in the context of 24/7 shift working environmentsExperience in managing complex administrative activitiesAbility to understand, and apply rostering and/or Enterprise Agreement /Modern Award rulesStrong problem-solving skills supportive of developing 24/7 operational rostersExperience with rostering software EMPlive and WorkForceExceptional customer service skills – telephone, email, and face-to-faceStrong attention to detail and accuracyIf this sounds like the job for you please click apply to start your application, including your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role by 28th August 2022. Applications received without a cover letter will not be considered. PD - Adminstration Officer - Rostering Services AUD Richmond 3121
