Program Support Officer – Community Transport – Casual

The Program Support Officer (PSO) - Community Transport will be based in either Heathcote or Rochester. This casual role will cover staff leave and volunteer training days.  The OrganisationProudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides emergency aeromedical and health care services for people in rural and remote regions across Australia. The PositionThe Flying Doctor Community Transport program is currently delivered in the central Victorian towns of Rochester and Heathcote. In 2022, the service is expanding to multiple locations across Victoria.Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations related to the Flying Doctor Community Transport program throughout Victoria, this program plays an integral part to supporting RFDS Victoria’s vision to bring health care services to those who are otherwise unable to access them.The PSO will support the Program Coordinator/s to deliver a quality service including volunteer, stakeholder and client liaison and will prioritise customer service and the provision of a person-centred service at all times, with the service receiving a high volume of calls for client bookings.The PSO takes a detailed hands-on approach to operational coordination and is responsible for supporting the daily administration associated with the delivery of the service including accepting bookings for transport, scheduling transports in Traeger CT and being a point of contact for Volunteers when required. The role will also assist with trip and travel logistics, team and stakeholder relationship support and finance processing to ensure effective and timely delivery of the service.Assist Program Coordinator/s with training and onboarding of volunteer drivers including recruitment support, credentialing document preparation & storage, organising training details and organising uniforms.ResponsibilitiesAll aspects of administering the Flying Doctor Community Transport service including:Registering new clientsAnswering client phone calls and taking bookingsScheduling client tripsSetting up rosters on scheduling platformVehicle fleet management and servicing requirementsQualifications and ExperienceAbility to manage multiple tasks and expectations of clients and volunteersStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong initiative and drive with a view to continuously improve programsWell-developed problem solving skillsExcellent attention to detailEnthusiasm, creativity, dedication and an open mindCommitted to excellent customer service and the provision of a consumer-centered serviceWillingness to travel regularly, possibly across the stateDesirableUnderstanding of Home Care Package, My Aged Care, Social Support and NDIS Experience working with vulnerable and diverse populations Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and address the key selection criteria via the Apply Now button by COB 21/1/2022Applications will be assessed as received and only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be contacted directly.RFDS is committed to creating a diverse working environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer  PDPD AUD Heathcote 3523
