  • Planning, managing and delivering patient care within scope of practice
  • Chronic disease management, triaging, vaccinations, wound management, pathology collection and contacting patients with test results, assisting with clinical procedures
  • Health promotion advice and activities, patient advocacy and dissemination of patient education resources
  • Coordinating and providing support to the practice team outside the practice – immunisation clinics, residential aged care visits and occupational health clinics on agribusiness
  • Supporting quality and safety, including accreditation through developing policies and procedures
  • Supporting practice management (data, stock controls, clinical equipment maintenance etc.)
  • Providing a link between services, patients and networks

 

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Division 1 Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, including current Registration with AHPRA
  • Experience as a practice or community based Nurse
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and an interest in community-based nursing, including patient education and health promotion
