Health Services Manager, Digital Health – Fixed Term – 3 years

We strive towards improving the health and wellbeing of our rural communities and believe in creating opportunities so all Victorians have the choice to access essential primary health care services. Position PurposeHealth Services Managers in Primary Health take a detailed management approach to program establishment, service planning, health practitioner liaison, stakeholder relationship management, budget management and contract management to ensure effective and timely delivery of the services that they are responsible for. In addition to program oversight, they will manage and support staff that directly report into the position and their indirect reports. The Health Services Manager - Digital Health, is integral to delivery of RFDS Victoria’s strategic priority of using technology to enhance our work and improve health outcomes.  This role oversees existing digital health services such as telehealth and remote monitoring and will help implement emerging eHealth initiatives identified under the RFDS Victoria digital health strategy.  These programs are integral to RFDS Victoria’s vision to bring health care services to those who are otherwise unable to access them.Position Tasks and ResponsibilitiesOversee operational and clinical management of specialist telehealth and remote monitoring programsWork collaboratively for the research, planning and implementation of new digital health servicesEmbed, improve and manage the delivery of new digital health programs in alignment with RFDS clinical governance frameworkDevelop strategic plans and project manage digital health service expansion by geographical distribution, models of care or service scopeWork to remove barrier to the uptake of digital health by rural communities, health service staff and clientsManage, develop and support Primary Health staffProgram ManagementAll aspects of program management and delivery as directed by the GM Primary Health CareParticipate in initiatives with the General Manger and other Primary Health Service Managers to provide coordinated services, identify efficiencies and progress newMarketingLiaise with marketing and fundraising staff to develop necessary program promotional and educational materialsPrepare written reports and articles, presentations and media releases to position RFDS Victoria as requiredResearch and ReportingProvide or direct Program personnel to provide data, written analysis and reports in relation to primary health as directed by the General Manager Primary Health CareIdentify improvements to information systems and oversee implementation of changesQualifications and ExperienceA tertiary qualification in a health disciplineA qualification or extensive experience in the management of health programs with an understanding of digital and eHealth models of care, reporting and fundingA qualification or extensive experience in the management of personnelProven ability to coach and develop othersExtensive experience in building and managing strong and collaborative relationships with a wide variety of health care sector stakeholdersExperience in seeking funding opportunities and developing funding submissionsExperience with strategic planning and business development for digital health projects or programsPlease refer to the Job Description for details regarding this role.If this sounds like the right opportunity for you please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and address the key selection criteria via the Apply Now button by 14/3/22.Applications will be assessed as received and only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be contacted directly.RFDS is committed to creating a diverse working environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
