About Us Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides emergency aeromedical and health care services for people in rural and remote regions across Australia.   Mobile Patient Care (MPC) is a service division of RFDS Victoria, providing non-emergency patient transport services in both rural and metropolitan locations across VIC, NSW and TAS.  Expressions of Interest Flying Doctors Mobile Patient Care accept ongoing expressions of interest from First Aid Officers, Patient Transport Officers, Ambulance Transport Attendants, Ambulance Officers, Registered Nurses and Critical Care RN's. We also accept PTO's who have a Cert IV in Healthcare (Ambulance), a Diploma of Paramedicine or a completed Bachelor of Paramedicine (or equivalent).Students currently undertaking a Bachelor Paramedicine who are interested in working as a PTO must obtain an equivalency of a Cert III in NEPT to be eligible for a role with Mobile Patient Care. Obtaining an equivalency requires the completion of a 2 day non-emergency driving course HLTAMB014 Transport non-emergency patients under operational conditions. Please note - RFDS Victoria is not an RTO and does not offer this training, nor are we able to facilitate an equivalency process internally so this would need to be obtained from an external source prior to commencement of employment.Endorsed Enrolled NurseEEN's must hold a Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold current AHPRA registration with medication endorsement.Our EEN's currently work across our Hume region on private shifts and operate to the scope of a Patient Transport Officer.To work on AV shifts, EEN's must also complete the 2 day non-emergency driving course HLTAMB014 Transport non-emergency patients under operational conditions prior to employment.Ambulance Transport AttendantAmbulance Transport Attendants must hold a completed Diploma of Paramedicine or a completed Bachelor of Paramedicine (or equivalent).As per DHHS guidelines, Diploma and Degree qualified applicants must also have completed and documented 400 clinical on-road placement hours under the supervision of a Clinical Instructor.RFDS policies require that to be eligible to commence as an ATA, Diploma or Degree qualified applicants must have also completed (and be able to provide evidence of successful completion) an internal PTO > ATA conversion program with another NEPT provider, or have worked as a qualified Paramedic with a State Emergency Ambulance Service. Please see the attachment provided below for more information.Registered NurseRN applicants are required to have a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and relevant experience within a hospital environment, desirably in an Emergency, Intensive Care (or similar) or Community Nursing environment.Critical Care NurseCCRN's wanting to work with Mobile Patient Care must hold a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and a post-graduate qualification in Critical Care, Emergency, Intensive Care, Coronary Care or similar, and be able to demonstrate  experience working in a relevant hospital department within the the last 2 years.Please note - RFDS currently only has Critical Care roles based out of Essendon Airport, Melbourne as we don't run High Acuity work in NSW or TAS.First Aid OfficerFirst Aid Officers working with the Mobile Event Care team are required to hold a current Advanced First Aid certificate or hold (or be undertaking) a tertiary qualification in Paramedical Science. Additional requirementsMust hold a current full Victorian, NSW or TAS Driver's License (mandatory) and have the ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions.Hold a satisfactory National Police Check completed within the last 6 months.Hold a current Working with Childrens Check for employment.Provide a satisfactory full driving history report.Full immunisation history in accordance with AV, NSW HealthShare and RFDS guidelines (please see below document for more information).ATA Required Qualifications & ExperienceMPC Immunisation Requirements AUD Richmond 3121
